Has anyone else found that Epic 5.1M or 5.2 will lock up when you turn the tags off in an sgml file and try to scroll through a large table. We noticed this last year and find the problem still occurs in the new release.

I think scrolling through long tables has always been an issue with Epic. Drawing tables is a pretty resource-intensive effort for a PC. I don't know how much RAM your PC has, but increasing the RAM might help. If there tend to be a lot of tables in your documents, designating your tables as division elements in your DCF file would enable you to collapse them all simultaneously with the view-collapse/expand divisions menu selection. Otherwise, you can collapse them by clicking on the plus sign in the Document Map window. Then scrolling past them is not a problem.

Lynn Hales adds

I have a case report with Arbortext on this. We have found that with some tables AND a Logitech mouse, the system will lock up with an SGML file. To see this in action, take a look at the 28001C.sgm file in the tutorial folder.

This may not be the issue you are seeing, but it does exist. There could be other issues with the Logitech drivers beyond what I have found.
